Quick Question I Hope

Hi. I'm a pretty good MS Access developer but as my
databases are getting MUCH bigger and there's an
increasing need for me to put a lot of my work on the
web, I feel like I need to move toward SQL Server. I'm
trying to get a ROUGH idea of how long this is going to
take to become proficient in setting up some simple
tables and web pages for people to logon from home, fill
in some fields and have my tables capture the info. I've
never really done any web development work so I guess I'm
asking if anyone can suggest a game plan for getting me
on the fastest path to proficiency. I'm going to buy a
book tomorrow called Microsoft Access Developer's Guide
to SQL Server to get started and then I guess I'll need
to learn some HTML or XML right? Any suggestions for a
game plan would be helpful. Thanks!!See if you can find a friend in that technical field to talk to - people
learn things very differently and there are stacks of resources out there,
but nothing is better than a collegue to talk to face to face and bounce
ideas off. Pretty hard to do in a newsgroup format.
