Hello,
I had the September CTP installed. I uninstalled this and installed
the RTM of SQLServer 2005
When I did this, the existing RS databases evidently remained from the
first installation, as I got a message saying that these were the wrong
version (altho I can't remember just when I saw this).
I tried using .mdf files from another server, but I was unable to ever
get the RS Service started.
So I decided to re-install. I uninstalled and installed SQLServer
again. It appears to work,
but the RS databases are not installed -- just the system ones.
Any idea why this might happen?
TIA,
JimI had this happen to me. What I did was totally uninstall everything and
then manually deleted the directories for SQL Server and RS. Then when
installing be sure to pick Reporting Services as well as SQL Server. This
cleared it up for me. I used all defaults for everything when installing.
And I picked to configure/activate (I forget exactly what it said).
