Running a Dell 2400 dual CPU - 4 drive in a RAID-5
configuration. System was telling me I lost 2 drives
of the four - Forced restore (twice) after changing
different pices of hardware and everything seems to be
fine except SQL Server WON'T start --
reloaded - on top - SQL Developer Edition and SP 3a --
still no help --
1. If I remove SQL - what happens to my DBs?
2. Any other ideas would be great?
jed@.experiencedtechnology.comYour databses are unaffected by uninstalling and relaoding SQL Server - =the files will still be there but you will need to re-attach them.
More intersting is why will SQl Server not start - can you post the =contents of the error log file. There should be no need to re-install - =but any messages in the SQL Server error log will give us a clue.
